A square social media graphic with a light pink, subtly sparkling background. On the right side, an older woman with short, curly brown hair wearing a white hoodie smiles slightly and points her index finger upward. On the left, an antique clock face appears to be shattering into pieces. At the top, bold text reads "STOP WAITING" in large teal letters with dark blue undershading, followed by "START CREATING." in smaller vibrant pink letters. Near the bottom left is a black handwritten signature logo that reads "Susan" with a small heart, above the white tagline text: "recreating midlife One B.O.L.D. Step at a time".

What We Miss When We Stop Listening?

What We Miss When We Stop Listening?

Some of the most important moments in my life didn't arrive with certainty.

They arrived as a quiet awareness.

A knowing. A feeling. A pull.

Something asking for my attention.

And had I immediately explained it away, fixed it, or talked myself out of it —

I might have missed it completely.

This is where self-trust lives.

Not in the loudest voice. Not in the smartest answer. Not in the most logical explanation.

In the quiet.

In the thing that keeps tapping you on the shoulder.

In what feels true — even when you can't explain why.

That's self-trust. Not a concept. Not a framework.

Just you — finally listening to yourself.

The Practice

Listening requires presence.

Listening requires trust.

Listening requires us to slow down long enough to hear what is actually here.

Not what should be here. Not what someone else says should be here.

What is actually here?

So before you begin your week, here's a simple practice:

The next time you feel confused —

The next time you're trying to solve something —

The next time you find yourself searching for answers —

Pause.

Before you fix it. Before you explain it. Before you talk yourself out of it.

Ask:

"What is asking for my attention right now?"

And then listen.

Not for the loudest voice. Not for the smartest answer.

Listen for what feels true.

Listen for what keeps tapping you on the shoulder.

Listen for what you've been too busy to hear.

Because sometimes the greatest wisdom isn't found in another answer.

Sometimes it's found in finally hearing what has been trying to speak to you all along.

This Is The Work

This is what I love helping women do.

Not through more information.

But through awareness. Presence. And learning to trust what they already know.

Because you haven't lost yourself.

You've just stopped listening.

And the way back?

Is simpler than you think.

It starts with one question:

What is asking for my attention right now?
